The QDCAN10 Evaluation Board (EVB) operates as a CAN-bus transceiver over battery power-lines allowing multiplex network communication development, operation and testing in real car automotive applications.
The powering and connection of multiple EVB's is performed through a vehicle's DC power-line, but it is possible to operate the device on a single wire too.
The EVB which has small dimensions of a matchbox, contains all the required hardware for its device operation such as line protection network, passive filter, drivers and power supply.
The EVB is connected to the CAN-bus controller Data-In and Data-Out lines while on the other side the board is connected to the vehicle network power-line for power and communication. Sleep and Wakeup lines allows to save power while the board is not in operation.

The EVB requires 12V power source with average current of less than 40mA.
