DCAN250 CAN-bus Over Power-line Evaluation Board
The DCAN250 Evaluation Board (EVB) emulates and test the operation of the DCAN250 as a CAN-bus 'transceiver' in a network. Multiple DCAN250 boards can communicate over vehicle's DC power-line using the CAN-bus protocol.
The EVB contains the required hardware for operation such as a modem, line protection network, passive filters and a switching power supply. The board transmits the CAN-bus protocol message over the DC power-line at data rates of up to 250kbps. It provides an alternative physical layer (transceiver) for CAN-bus ECU. The EVB may be connected directly to a ECU (CAN-bus controller) through its I/O connector. The DCAN250 EVB operates from a power source between 10V and 36V.
