UART Over Powerline Transceiver - SIG40

SIG40 data sheet Datasheet

SIG40 IC

The SIG40 transceiver modem enables UART / LIN asynchronous multiplex communication networks to operate over battery power-line, using original signaling technology. It provides a new economical physical communication transceiver for asynchronous protocols, overcoming the hostile environment over the vehicle battery power-line. When implemented in a LIN-bus network over the powerline, the SIG40 replaces the LIN-bus transceiver and the LIN-bus data wire. Its data rate triples the LIN transfer rate. The SIG40 saves node costs and increases the network capacity. More than one network can operate over the same line, using different carrier frequencies A sleep mode enables power saving. Wakeup messages over the DC powerline awaken remote devices as required by the LIN-bus protocol. The SIG40 can be economically integrated with other CMOS applications such as micro controllers.
